How to install
-
1
Download the APK
Tap the download button above. Your browser may warn you that APK files can be harmful — this is normal for any app installed outside the Play Store. Tap Download anyway.
-
2
Allow installation from this source
Android blocks installs from unknown sources by default. When prompted, tap Settings and enable "Allow from this source" for your browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc.).
Or go to: Settings → Apps → Special access → Install unknown apps and enable your browser.
-
3
Open and install
Once downloaded, tap the notification or find loginator.apk in your Downloads folder. Tap Install. Installation takes a few seconds.
-
4
Open Loginator
Tap Open after installation, or find Loginator in your app drawer. Your data stays on your device — no account needed.
Common questions
Is the APK safe?
Yes. This APK is the same app that will be published on the Google Play Store.
It's built directly from our source code using CodeMagic CI and signed with our release key.
Loginator stores all data locally on your device with encryption — nothing is sent to any server unless you explicitly enable feedback.
Why isn't it on the Play Store yet?
Use Loginator in your browser today. The Android card appears when a Play, F-Droid, Amazon, or Galaxy listing is published. APK sideload is not a production install.
How do I update the app?
Come back to this page and download the latest APK. Install it over the existing app — your data will be preserved. Once we're on the Play Store, updates will be automatic.
Can I disable "unknown sources" after installing?
Yes, and we recommend it. After installing Loginator, go back to
Settings → Apps → Special access → Install unknown apps
and turn off the permission for your browser. The app will continue to work normally.
What Android version do I need?
Loginator runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) or later, covering virtually every Android device in use today. System-wide autofill requires Android 8.0 (Oreo) or later; on Android 7 you can still copy passwords and TOTP codes manually.
Does this work on de-googled Android (GrapheneOS, CalyxOS, LineageOS)?
Yes. Loginator does not depend on Google Play Services. You can install the standalone release APK directly on GrapheneOS, CalyxOS, LineageOS, /e/OS, or any AOSP build. All cryptography, biometric authentication, and local vault storage function fully offline.
Will I lose my data if I install a new version?
No. Installing an updated APK preserves all your existing data. Android treats it as an app update as long as the package name and signing key match, which they do for all official Loginator builds.
